Playing in the snow

Winter is finally here, and although the temperature is fluctuating, it seems that the snow is here to stay. It is cold and grey in Calgary, so I couldn’t help but want some colour in my life. We did this first shot in our yard, as it seemed a little too chilly to venture far without a reliable jacket at all times.

My peach/salmon/pink/coral (everyone seems to have a different name for this colour!) is merino wool, so although it is thin, it is cozy and warm. I chose a white shirt to add a bit of polish to otherwise casual khaki pants. I sometimes like to wear my necklaces half tucked in and half loose for a slightly different look from what is expected. Socks were borrowed from D. – I found them on the floor after an emergency-like prep for snowboarding, and decided that they go with my wedges
